The stock piping in Volkswagens star player, however, doesnt quite live up to the hype. Full of bends, restrictive diameters, and constructed from degradation-prone materials, the stock charge pipes are a restriction for your MK7, especially when cranking up the boost.
Here at Mishimoto, we improved on the intercooler piping system so that you can make your hot-hatch even hotter. We started with replacing all of the plastic and rubber with a more robust construction of mandrel-bent aluminum, and 5-layer, heat-resistant silicone couplers to ensure a sturdy and long-lasting connection to and from the intercooler. We also reduced the number of bends on top of increasing the piping diameter to 2.75 inches, together equating to a 30% increase in airflow, making these the perfect combination with an aftermarket tune.

Notes:
This kit is compatible with the EA888 Gen3 engine and manual or 6-speed DSG transmissions only. Hot-side intercooler piping may not fit properly on vehicles equipped with 7-speed DSG transmissions.
